Feed the Hungry
Saturday, March 10; 11am-9pm
Location: Santa Monica
Help Girl Scouts, Ralphs/Food 4 Less, and the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank in the fight against hunger! Participate in Feed Your Neighbor Food Drive & Service Day and learn about the hunger crisis and do something about it.
Discover why in 2010, 17.2 million households (approximately one in seven) were food insecure – the highest number ever recorded in the United States.
Connect with your community and organizations that are working to fight hunger.
Take action and help GSGLA collect 100,000 pounds of food for area foodbanks and pantries. Volunteers needed to help girls feed the hungry. Girl Scouts can learn about philanthropy and earn a badge at the same time.
Requirements: Lifting bags of food repeatedly as the troops will be dropping off their collected food. They still need volunteers during the day from 11am-4pm.
